Jonny Blu’s music has been featured in over 50 feature films and television shows, including multiple licensing placements on Hallmark ChannelLifetime Channel, Hulu, Peacock, CBS and NBC.  Blu’s music spans genres from Pop, Jazz, Holiday/Christmas/Hanukkah, Ukulele folk, Dance/EDM and even Chinese Mandarin Pop!

Blu’s smooth jazz original song The Ooh-Wee Song and his self-penned Christmas holiday hit, Holiday For Two, are his most popular songs, having combined been in over 40 films and TV shows.  He also had a  smash holiday classic, Baby Its Cold Outside, which he produced and recorded with pop princess Avril Lavigne for the Hallmark Channel film, Switched For Christmas.  His most famous film musical appearance was his cameo singing his Chinese pop hit “Miracles Happen (奇迹能变成真实)” in the blockbuster Disney hit film The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement starring Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews (and directed by Garry Marshall).  Blu has also produced and written songs for television shows, from “Mayans MC” on FX, “Comedians In Cars” with Jerry Seinfeld, to popular soap operas like “Young and the Restless” and “Days of Our Lives”.

Blu also does custom music songwriting and production for commercials and specialty requests. His most notable collaborations were with Aloe Blacc on a Mandarin Chinese rewrite of his smash hit “Wake Me Up” and his collaboration with acclaimed music producer, Jeremy Silver, on a Chinese rendition of “Season Of The Witch” for a Panda Express commercial!
